DI Water is water purified to 0-20 ppm hardness. Water hardness is mainly made of calcium and magnesium. When hard water (water straight from your spout)  is used to clean your panels, the calcium and magnesium will stain your glass on your solar panels overtime causing  efficiency to decrease which is why we only use DI water to prevent this. Also, manufactures recommend solar panels to be cleaned with DI water.

Absolutely! Just make sure you use DI water and a solar panel approved brush to clean the panels because if you dont it will void your warranty and cause damage to your panels over time. Also, use slip resistant shoes because the roof is very slippery!
